OHIO MAN BUYS ONE TICKET AND WINS 2017 MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE
Neighborhood Ford Store Partnership With Eat’n Park Benefits Children’s Hospitals
PITTSBURGH (01/17/2017) – All Jim Peppel knew for sure was that the raffle ticket he purchased would benefit a Children’s Hospital. And then he never gave it another thought.
That was until Kevin O’Connell, Senior Vice President of Marketing for the Eat’n Park Hospitality Group, called from the Caring for Kids event at Pittsburgh’s Children’s Hospital where Peppel’s ticket was chosen as the winner.
“I couldn’t believe it. I’ve never won anything before. When I told my wife JoAnne I won a Mustang convertible, she thought I was kidding,” the Columbiana, Ohio, resident explained.
For the seventh consecutive year, Neighborhood Ford Store partnered with Eat’n Park Restaurants to contribute a new Ford vehicle to be raffled, with the proceeds from the sale of raffle tickets donated to the Caring for Kids campaign benefitting Children’s Hospitals. More than 60,000 raffle tickets at $2 each were sold for the 2017 Mustang convertible.
Peppel was presented with his white 2017 Mustang convertible at Ron Lewis Ford in Beaver Falls, Pa. Peppel’s Mustang will join a Ford Econoline van in his garage. He is a home builder and remodeler.
“This is a terrific way to start the New Year,” Joseph Thurby, Chairman of Neighborhood Ford Store, said. “Neighborhood Ford Store takes great pride in assisting families throughout our region and the Caring for Kids campaign gives us that opportunity. We all work together — our dealers, the staff at Eat’n Park, the tens of thousands of folks who purchase raffle tickets – and are united in our support to help the patients and their families.”
“It’s important to the Neighborhood Ford Store dealers to support causes that make life better in our communities,” Kathleen Wagler, Vice Chairperson, emphasized. “We know that the Caring for Kids campaign is important to our region, so we are honored to help.”
“Ron Lewis Ford is pleased to kick off our 2017 with an event that is important to so many,” Gwen Lewis, Vice President of Online Operations/Marketing at the Ron Lewis Automotive Group, noted. “With this Eat’n Park partnership, everyone wins — Jim gets a new Mustang convertible, Children’s Hospitals receive financial support and the entire community benefits because the health of our area’s youth is enhanced.”
“Every year, the campaign with Neighborhood Ford Store reminds us that Eat’n Park has the most generous and compassionate guests, team members, and partners,” said Trina DeMarco, Director of Corporate Giving and Community Partnerships, Eat’n Park Hospitality Group. “It’s a really great feeling to know that our Caring for Kids campaign will help kids throughout the region receive the medical care they need.”
