Below are some of the "Frequently Asked Questions" we receive from our customers that may provide you some insight into vehicle purchasing and service - We're here to answer any question you may have! 

Q:  What is the difference between a regular used car and a certified pre-owned vehicle? Do they cost more?

A:  Yes, the difference is the amount of inspection and reconditioning done on a particular vehicle.  There are two types of "Certified" pre-owned vehicles - ones we choose from our inventory to perform a Ron Lewis Automotive Group 125-point safety inspection on, and ones that are "Factory Certified".  Factory certified vehicles have an inspection program dictated by the manufacturer and are backed by a warranty that extends across the continental U.S.    As far as the cost, both kinds of certified vehicles are worth on average over $1,000 more because of the additional work done on them prior to becoming available for sale.  All of our "non-certified" pre-owned vehicles still receive a 100-point safety inspection.  All of our certified and non-certified pre-owned vehicles qualify for our 100,000 mile warranty, and have a CarFax report available.  

Q:  I would like to purchase a used-vehicle and am interested in a warranty - What do you offer?

A:  The Ron Lewis Automotive Group is the *only* dealership group in Pittsburgh to offer a 100,000 Mile Warranty on all of our used cars and trucks!  The warranty works by giving power-train coverage to participating customers up to 100,000 miles on their odometer.  We outline for our customers a schedule of maintenance and that will be performed at a 10% discount at any Ron Lewis Automotive Group location.  It covers engine and transmission repairs, all internally lubricated parts contained within the transfer case and drive axle repairs. It's a fantastic offer for our preowned customers, and most of our customers are taking full advantage of the opportunity to keep their used vehicle safe and sound.

Q:  If I put money down, will I get a better purchase price or interest rate on my financing?

A:  By putting more money down, you won't affect the purchase price, but you will reduce the amount you will need to finance.  We have found that banks will sometimes give interest rate reductions because they are financing a vehicle for a lower amount. 

Q:  Should I buy or should I lease?

A:  This really depends on your personal situation.  We advise our customers to consider the pros and cons of both, as the monthly payment amount can end up being significantly different.  We have a team of financial advisors at each of our locations that will carefully look at your financial situation and ownership goals and provide you with all of the options available. 

Q:  Can you finance someone with past-- or even present -- credit problems?

A:  The Ron Lewis Automotive Group has a promise of "Guaranteed Credit Approval" at all of our dealerships.  This means that we will work with you and the network of financial institutions we have relationships with to find a finance solution that will work for your credit situation.  Some situations can be a challenge, but we are up for it!  Our finance team has over 50 years combined experience financing vehicles for customers and maintains relationships with over a dozen banks. We also offer extended warranty options for every make and model in our inventory, as well as GAP coverage, credit life, accident and health insurance options.

Q:  Can you locate the vehicle I want if you don't have it in stock?

A:  Yes - for the most part...If it's not in stock at one Ron Lewis Automotive Group location, it may be available at another.  We have over 500 new and pre-owned vehicles to choose from and can transport a vehicle for you to test drive from another location within 30-45 minutes.  Regarding pre-owned vehicles that are not in our inventory, we go to the auto auctions weekly, and also tap into sources online across the nation to secure vehicles of interest.  We're also always getting trades in and update our inventory online daily.  As for a new vehicle, will are able to locate and order a new model with the features/options you're interested in.  Check out this site's "CarFinder" tool under New Inventory and it will put our Internet Sales Team to work for you!

Q:  Can you handle fleet orders?

A:  Absolutely!  We have many businesses in the greater Pittsburgh area that have contracted with us for a fleet of trucks, vans, and even executive vehicles.  We have the capability and expertise with our service, parts and finance departments to handle both small and large fleets. 
Q:  Do you have body shops?  What kind of work can you handle?

A:  We have full body shop capabilities at Pleasant Hills Chrysler Jeep and also have added a state-of-the-art collision center in our Beaver Falls location at Morrow Ford Lincoln Mercury. There are only two computerized Italian paint booths in Western PA -- and we are proud to have one of them!  So, whether you were in a fender-bender, or need a complete paint job, or engine overhaul -- we're able to take care of your vehicle and even offer tow-service.  We're a direct repair facility for most insurance companies and we offer shuttle service to make your situation as hassle-free as possible.  All of our Parts and Service Departments have extended and Saturday hours.  You can make an appointment from this site, although an appointment is not necessary.

Q:  Will you provide me a vehicle to drive if mine is in for service?

A:  We offer courtesy van transportation for all of our service customers.  That means we'll take you home or to work and pick you back up when your vehicle is ready.  Some of the extended warranties we offer do provide for a rental car during service. 

Q:  I see that you offer "Free State Inspections"? How does that work?

A:  Yes, we offer Free State Inspections on every new and used vehicle we sell!  You can redeem this service at any Ron Lewis Automotive Group location convenient to you - not just where you purchased your vehicle.
